Another Random Diet Rant

I asked the book of faces semi-recently how to get borderline-rexi-hot for my upcoming wedding next year. First of all, all these out of shape people started answering me with stupid shit like "I heard yoga is really good for you."  No-duh! Did you just hear that? Awesome. Tell me more. Tell me how you ate Taco Bell 4 times last week. Tell me about Cross-Fit. Oh really? They put you in a cinder block room with some boulders and ropes and you have to climb them and carry them, do pushups and burpees and then barf in the corner? Sounds amazing. Oh wait, you actually said "amazeballs"...great...defriend. Besides, I wasnt asking YOU. I was asking for help from skinny people.

None of which answered.

One of the commenters, a guy,  recommended the Paleo diet. I ignored it because I think I know everything about nutrition and dieting.

After losing 15 lbs in the last year and a half, I've been feeling like I'm almost as low on food intake as I can go without feeling like I'm actually starving. So I took a good hard look in the mirror with an open mind. And the fact of the matter is, I dont look like I make any effort whatsoever. I just look like a normal girl. Obviously, I'm not doing something right. And I flashed back to the Paleo recommendation.

Ugh, fine. Googled it.

WTF? Its the Caveman diet?! I invented that when I was 15 years old! So I dont even have to read about it because I recommended it to myself 16 years ago? Fine, I'll do it.

The best part about this is that ONE of my very fit friends responded to my post (in person) and gave me the low down. And I sincerely appreciated it. She just verified for me how you really do have to eat extremely lean. All the time. No cheating. Paleo, basically.

Now I've been inspired to move my focus away from food, and towards accomplishing some positive goals. They are fitness goals: one for dance, one for yoga. Focusing on achieving a stronger, more flexible body. I already feel much better about things :)

13 Summer Dresses to Wear to Wedding Festivities

The season of weddings is upon us. You wont hear any complaints out of me! I adore weddings. I even love every single second of preparing for attending weddings...Hair, Makeup and finding the perfect dress for the occasion.

I would love to spend thousands of dollars on these weddings as an excuse to wear some of my favorite pieces of designer art, but let's be practical. When you have 4 weddings, 3 rehearsal dinners, 2 baby showers, 2 bachelorette parties and 3 wedding showers, it's just not right to spend a fortune on dresses.(Ok, it might be?)

I have spent countless hours scouring the internet for the perfect outfits to wear to celebrate the happiness of my dear friends. The titles are linked to their original websites where they are for sale. Enjoy!
